Immigration Medicals
The Doctors Apollo has been approved by Immigration New Zealand as a provider of Immigration Medical services to all age groups, for New Zealand visa only.
Appointments are available with our Immigration Administrator who is responsible for the pre-exam, photograph, and necessary paperwork.
If required, you will see the Immigration Panel Doctor for a physical examination (wherever possible this will be immediately after the administration appointment, however sometimes there may be a wait of up to three hours).
For full Immigration Medicals, persons over the age of 15 years will then be required to have a blood test, and persons over the age of 11 years will be referred for a chest x-ray. Blood tests can be completed in the same building at the Apollo Centre, but X-rays are completed by Radiology providers 15 minutes away. Once the results of these tests are received, the Panel Doctor will review the results, and complete and submit the Immigration Medical document online (you can receive a copy of the report if you request).
For all Immigration appointments please bring your valid passport and any relevant communication from Immigration NZ.
Please note, your Immigration Medical cannot be completed by your regular GP. If you see a GP regularly at Apollo Medical, please check your Immigration Medical appointment is not with them.
If you have recently had an Immigration Medical done at another practice in Auckland, we recommend you return to that practice for any further requests. It may be cheaper to do this.
If you are under 18 years of age, you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to your Immigration appointment.

If you are having trouble understanding what Immigration NZ is requiring you to do, or do not understand the written communication they have sent you, we can help. There is a small fee for our Administrators time, and she will research the Immigration database and make any necessary phonecalls for you as part of this service.

For Immigration Xray only requests:
Takes 15 minutes with the Immigration Administrator to open a health case for you. Then you go to Radiology for the chest x-ray.
Note: If you already have an NZER No. for X-ray, please go straight to Radiology.
