Apollo Medical strongly recommends our patients continue to follow the advice from the Ministry of Health and refers them to their website for the latest updates. The situation is changing all the time, so please use this link. We will endeavour to keep our own website up to date as well.

As yet NO CONFIRMED cases of coronavirus in NZ.
If you answer YES to either of these questions:
1. Have you, or anyone in your household, travelled to China in the past 14 days?
2. Have you, or anyone in your household, been in contact with a confirmed case of coronavirus in the past 14 days?
Please stay away from others from now until 14 days from the last day you travelled or had contact with an infected person - this is called self-isolation.
To prevent spread of the virus to other people – please do not have face to face contact with people for longer than 15 minutes. Do not go to work, school, preschool, group or social activities, sports, or public places like movie theatres, shopping malls and cafes. Do not visit others, and do not use public transport, taxis or ride sharing apps like Uber.
Please ring Apollo Medical for advice on how to manage any potential infection. Do this in the first instance, rather than arrive at the medical centre and potentially put other people at risk of getting this virus.
If you answer YES to the questions and are VERY UNWELL, especially with fever and bad coughing, then ring the dedicated Healthline number 0800 358 5453, or Apollo Medical for advice AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. It may be that you will need medical attention and this may be here at Apollo Medical or at one of Auckland's Hospitals, so ring first if possible.
Guidance on self-isolation
The guidance on self-isolation has been updated and can be found here
Dedicated 0800 number for health advice and information
Healthline has set up a dedicated 0800 number specifically for health-related calls about the coronavirus.
The number is 0800 358 5453
Or for international SIMs +64 9 358 5453
People calling that line will be able to talk with a member of the National Telehealth Service and interpreters will be on hand. The number is staffed by nurses, paramedics and health advisors.
Healthline's existing number is still the main number to calls for non-coronavirus health concerns.
