Apollo Medical does not support the importation of medications in to New Zealand privately by patients.
In New Zealand, Pharmac and Medsafe are the organisations that determine which drugs are imported for our pharmaceutical schedule. These organisations take responsibility and accountability for drug safety.
Apollo Medical does not believe our general practitioners are qualified to determine any imported drug's exact constituents and therefore safety for administration. Apollo Medical strongly supports the NZ agencies – Pharmac and Medsafe.
Apollo Medical strives to provide the very highest quality of care. Clearly the safest care of our patients and their families is paramount and this is why Apollo Medical has taken this strong position.
