Mumps Advice

Instances of mumps is on the rise in Auckland. Mumps will be prevented by the MMR vaccination, and just a reminder to ensure you have had your vaccination. It is free to all people under the age of 50yrs regardless of their residency status.

Drug Importation Policy

Apollo Medical does not support the importation of medications into New Zealand privately by patients.

Lower Cost General Practice Visits for Community Service Card Holders and children under 14 years

Apollo Medical are pleased to participate in the New Zealand Government funding initiatives to increase people's ability to access primary health care, by offering lower priced general practice and ACC visits for children under 14 years of age and Community Service Card holders.

Asian Family Services

Asian Family Services are on Apollo Medical on Mondays and Thursdays

Asian Family Services (AFS) provides free, professional, confidential, nationwide face-to-face or telephone support to Asians living in New Zealand.

We have developed a patient visit sheet which some people have found useful in identifying which problems are the most important for them during their time with the doctor or nurse.

Time limited parking at Apollo

The carpark at Apollo Health & Wellness Centre is now limited to 180 minutes. Cars parked longer than this and not displaying an exemption permit will be infringed with a $65 parking fine. This is intended to keep the carpark free for patients and customers of the building only. Unauthorised parkers leaving their vehicles in our carpark all day will be infringed.

Zero Tolerance to Aggression

Apollo Medical has a zero tolerance attitude to violence and aggression to staff and others. We are compassionate and understanding of the stresses placed on people and we support staff to assist patients at times of stress. However patients and also their families must realise that their access to services provided by Apollo Medical does not include a right to verbally abuse staff or display aggression towards staff or other patients at the medical centre. Any such displays could result in withdrawal of service for the person concerned.read more
